The Insiders are Ben Payne (Soundscape) and Joe Wills (Static), a d&b production outfit from Bristol, UK. Over the past decade they have released music on some of the most pretigious labels in the scene, including Renegade Recordings, Metalheadz, Creative Source, 31 Records, Defunked, Good Looking (as Catch 22) and Nu Directions.

Their tracks regularly feature in the boxes of Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Storm, Zinc, D-Bridge, A.I. and Marky, as well as receiving regular airings on BBC Radio 1. Last year Ben set up his Intrigue Music label, serving as an outlet for their own tracks as well as fresh material from up and coming producers.

DJ appearances over the past year include Glastonbury Festival, Sun & Bass, Bristol Festival and a return tour of the US. Catch them at their main residency Intrigue, every month at the Dojo Lounge in Bristol.

Update 2010 4/15/2010

Hello to all!

Sorry I haven’t been coming to the site to update what’s been going on. First I’d like to say that 2010 is kicking off quite well. I know we’ve lost some major icons in the music industry, but it’s been great to see heads coming closer together and making things possible for everyone.

Most of you know (of course) that I’ve moved back to Cleveland this year. My heart will always be in Pittsburgh, but I really felt like I was needed at home this time. It’s been one hell of a ride since I’ve been back though. I can’t begin to explain the amount of influence, and love that has brought me back to speed with djing again. Not to mention it’s boosted up more energy on the production side of things. I’m still working out some minor kinks in my move so I can fully engage on this energy and get my butt moving again. I really want to thank my close friends and family for the love though. Without you guys, I don’t think I could be doing this. Not to mention the love of friends and family in the scene as well. It’s been quite warm in the heart department, which is what I’m all about. <3

With this being said, I’ll be updating this site with events and news to come.. as it comes of course, so bare with me!

On our way to 2009 9/20/2008

Well..

I’ve been doing some cleaning up on the websites and such. Going to be adding more
onto this site as soon as I can. Been working a lot and staying in the studio at home.
I’ll be moving into another apartment here in a week, so I’m taking a break until I finally
get settled into that place.

Also, going to be breaking down some good news to you guys. It seems like some of its
leaked a little even. I’ll be sure to answer those questions once things settle down over
here. :) I’m pretty excited as well. Until then, here are some contacts that you guys can
